Sensory Proccesing skills

Children may experience over-sensitivity (hypersensitivity), under-sensitivity (hyposensitivity) or both to an impairing or overwhelming degree. Super Hero Speech has a sensory gym available with a swing, crash pad and trampoline.

Attention

Hypersensitivity can lead to a withdrawn child while hyposensitivity can lead to disruptive behaviors due to the child seeking necessary sensory input.

Activities of Daily Living

Also known as self-help skills. These skills include teeth brushing, brushing hair, using toilet, dressing, undressing, eating, etc.

Fine Motor Skills

Fine motor skills are skills that involve small hand muscles. These skills include: drawing, handwriting, using scissors, manipulating zippers and buttons, etc.

Gross Motor Skills

Gross motor skills are skills that involve major, larger muscle groups. These skills include: balance, coordination, strength and endurance.
